Cynthia brings over 20 years of expertise to talent and leadership development within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams. All too often, her clients are attempting to do their best while working in a system that unintentionally impedes their success. She helps them shift their perspective and also take practical actions that lead to meaningful change and progress on their goals.
Cynthia knows very well that career advancement draws more on interpersonal and matrix management skills than on technical expertise. She has a keen ability to cut through the noise, see what's needed, and focus on the skills that will make individuals and teams more functional and reach higher levels of success. This incredible common sense when it comes to the realities of the operation is highly valued by her clients.
Prior to her consulting career, Cynthia led executive and leadership development at United Airlines where she was responsible for coaching and developing the company’s most senior executives. She received national recognition from The Aberdeen Group research firm and Oracle/Taleo for her innovation and excellence in developing leaders. Her work has even been featured by authors Davenport and Harding in their book Manager Redefined.
Cynthia holds an MS in Instructional & Performance Technology, as well as certifications in Organization Design, Strategic Human Resources, and a number of assessments and instruments for talent and organizational development.
Outside of work, Cynthia loves to travel with friends and relatives on regional trips and far-flung adventures from Memphis, TN to Mendoza, Argentina. She also enjoys tapping into local festivals and events, cooking and sampling new cuisines, and enjoying time with her pup.
