Over the last 28 years, Jeffrey has been focused on bringing out the best in leaders and increasing team effectiveness. As an experienced leader, facilitator, and consultant - he integrates his own personal learning and challenges from working in matrixed, cross-functional teams in corporate America to his work with non-profit organizations.
His work is anchored in trust, the foundation of relationships and collaborative partnerships. Jeffrey’s focus is to help his clients recognize the impact of building a safe, trusting, environment that promotes and fosters inclusion and innovative thinking while skillfully navigating the unexpected changes. He has a dynamic, authentic approach while being compassionate and empathetic so everyone feels heard, seen, and valued. Whether through group facilitation, multi-day experiential leadership programs, or 1:1 engagements - he integrates customized solutions to drive the application of “classroom experience” needed to apply the skills and learnings in the work environment.
Through his storytelling and humor, Jeffrey is masterful at facilitating and leading groups of 10 or a room of 500. He is committed to creating a safe space that allows open and honest interactions to further strengthen trust and partnerships.
Jeffrey holds a number of professional certifications including: Master the Matrix (Finerty Consulting), Cross Functional Influence (Finerty Consulting), Executive Coach & 360 Methodologies (Center for Creative Leadership), and co-facilitates Dare to Lead (Brené Brown), and integration of in Amy Edmondson’s work on Psychological Safety, Fearless Organizations, Right Kind of Wrong, and many others. Jeffrey is also a proud member of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
His renewal and passions outside of work are his Rottweiler, Jakob, as well as spending time with his family. You can also find him watching and attending all college football with his favorite being Iowa Football (Go Hawks!). Additionally, he is an avid walker and explorer, likes being on the beach or by the pool, attending the variety of Chicago summer street festivals, and a true crime fan.
