The More You Elevate Problems, The More Powerless You Look.

You don’t want to overplay the “elevation” card—the risk is two-fold. First, you risk perceptions of dependence—not being willing or able to resolve things on your own. Second, you could be accused of over-dramatizing the situation. The more you elevate problems, the less potent elevation becomes and the more you look powerless.
